Double J River Camp is our family retreat located in Irons Michigan in Lake County, that we are happy to share with our guests.  Nestled on the banks of the Little Manistee River in the heart of the Huron-Manistee National Forest, Double J is our beautiful getaway to nature with limitless outdoor activities for all seasons.

With 43+ acres, federal land connections, and over 1000 feet of river frontage, the peaceful beauty of Double J is just the place for a great family getaway.

The Little Manistee River is a blue-ribbon trout stream.  Enjoy fishing for Brown and Steelhead trout and the fall salmon runs.  Or drop in your kayak and enjoy a peaceful float along the pristine river offering an abundance of natural beauty and wildlife.

Our land and trails are great for hiking, exploring, observing nature and wildlife, or enjoying an afternoon picnic overlooking Indian Lake.

In the evening enjoy grilling your catch of the day, connecting with family around the fire-pit, smore's and more!

We are located near some of the most incredible hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing trails in Northwest Michigan, specifically the North Country Trail and Big M Trail.  As well a close proximity to Caberfae Peaks Ski Resort.

Situated in a snowbelt we have access to some of the best snowmobile trails in Northwest MI.  The Wellston Area Snowmobile Trail is within 2 miles of camp and offers over 60 miles of track, and easily connects to the Irons Area Snowmobile Trail which offers 60 miles of track.
